Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit kambensignal.no or use Kamben Kompass, what we use it for and how long we keep it.

 

Who is responsible

Kamben Consulting AS is the data controller. Kamben Signal is our trading name.

Kamben Kompass: free website analysis

When you fill in the form, we store:

  • your name, email address and the web address you want analysed

  • your IP address

  • your consent: that you ticked the box, the time, the text you saw, the form version and the language

We use this data to create the analysis, send it to you by email and contact you about the analysis. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us.

We use your IP address to prevent misuse, such as someone submitting the form many times. We allow three submissions per day per email address and per IP address. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure (Article 6(1)(f)).

 

The analysis itself

The analysis only looks at what is publicly available on the website you enter. We send the web address and the public content to Anthropic, which writes the report text using the Claude language model. Your name, email address, IP address and consent are never sent to Anthropic.

The report is published on its own page with a random code in the address. It is hidden from search engines, but anyone with the link can open it. We record the time each time the report is opened.

The analysis is automated, but it leads to no decision about you. It is a starting point for a possible conversation.

 

Follow-up

After you submit, your name, email address, website and the link to your report are added to our customer system in Notion. We use them there to follow up on the analysis. We delete them there no later than 12 months after our last contact, or sooner if you ask us to.

 

Booking a meeting

When you click «Book a call», our booking page opens in Google Calendar in a new tab. There you enter your name and email address and pick a time. This information is added to our calendar, and we use it to hold the meeting and follow up afterwards. The legal basis is that you ask us for a meeting, which means steps taken before a possible agreement (Article 6(1)(b)). We delete the booking no later than 12 months after our last contact, or sooner if you ask us to.

 

How long we keep data

  • Name, email, web address, IP address and consent: Google Cloud in Finland, deleted automatically after 90 days

  • The report and view times: Google Cloud in Finland, deleted automatically after 90 days

  • Name, email, website and report link: Notion, no later than 12 months after last contact

  • Bookings with name and email: Google Workspace, no later than 12 months after last contact

  • Operational logs with IP address: Google Cloud in Finland, 30 days

  • The email with your analysis: Resend, according to Resend's own rules

 

Visiting the website

The website is hosted by Wix. When you visit, Wix processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to show the page and keep it secure.

The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot check that processes your IP address and browser data to tell people from bots. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a form that works and is not misused. The fonts in the form are loaded from our own server, so Google does not receive your IP address from it.

We use Piwik PRO to measure how the website is used, for example which pages are visited and whether the form is submitted. Piwik PRO only starts if you consent in the cookie banner, and the legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)). The data is stored in the EU. You can withdraw your consent in the cookie settings at the bottom of the page.

Who we share data with

We never sell personal data. These providers process data on our behalf:

  • Google Cloud: hosting, storage and logs (EU, Finland)

  • Anthropic: writes the report text and only receives the web address and the public website content

  • Google Workspace: our calendar and meeting booking page

  • Resend: sends the email with your analysis

  • Notion: the customer system we follow up in

  • Cloudflare: the bot check in the form

  • Wix: hosts the website

  • Piwik PRO: measures how the website is used, only with consent

Several of these providers are based in the US, and data may be transferred to the US. Transfers are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for certified providers, and otherwise the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

 

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. You can also ask us to restrict its use, object to use based on legitimate interest and receive a copy of your data. Email hei@kambensignal.no and we will reply within 30 days.

If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet.

 

Changes

We update this policy when we change how we process personal data. The date at the top shows the last change.
